Coaching with Derry Soccer Club is meant to be a fun and rewarding experience.

The level of coaching required is driven by the program and all coaches must complete a background check.

Recreation Program (Hawks)

• Coaches required: We rely completely on parent volunteer coaches to help provide organization to the Saturday morning games and to work with the trainers to help provide basic development of players.
• Experience requirements: No experience is required, the Club will provide trainers for U6 & U8 during the week or on game day.  The club will also provide guide/curriculum for all age groups to help guide them throughout the season.  If a coach needs additional assistance we will do all we can to make that coach comfortable.

Competitive Program (Eagles)

• Coaches required: Professional coaches
• Experience requirements: Eagles coaches must have a certain level of formal coach training based on the age group being coached.  If a parent would like to coach their child's team, the Club will assist in finding the proper training class for that age group and reimburse the parent for that class once completed.
